With a compromised immune system, I was also susceptible to sinus infections. A lot! At least two required CT scans at the ER. The pain was intense, and no man-made drug could alleviate my agony. The best medicine was ice – on top of my head and at the back of my head. The second-best medicine was my husband massaging my sinus areas. My breathing slowed down and comfort finally came. It turns out, after my ENT went in to repair my deviated septum, he found more work to do than he planned. He worked on expanding a few of my sinus cavities and removed a bone spur on my nasal bone that apparently had been hitting some nerves. We’re unsure of what caused all of this, though I’m certain falling 5 ft. off a stage about a year and half earlier had something to do with part of that. In the words of Vanilla Ice….Ice, Ice Baby. That (ice) was my go-to and best alleviator of my sinus headaches – before and after surgery.
And then covid-19 struck the world. I fell seriously ill in January 2020 before we even heard about the “dreaded covid.” My lungs were filled with junk, and I developed Asthma so bad I couldn’t breathe – even with the aid of two types of inhalers. I went in to see my doctor on a Friday evening. They gave me a breathing treatment and a prescription. They were so concerned they told me to come back Saturday as well. They tested me for everything and yet could find “nothing.” I had to have breathing treatments for at least four times a day in addition to my inhalers, antibiotics and prednisone. I was off work for about three weeks and was almost admitted to the hospital. To this day I am certain I had the disease before it became known.
In hindsight I can tell you that this began the slow wake-up for me as I began to listen to my body more and more. While I realize millions of people around the world believe they are helped by “modern medicine” they didn’t for me. The pharmaceuticals I took often didn’t help and, in some cases, they made me feel worse. I won’t go through all of this, but I’ve had reaction after reaction – even from simple vaccines! And the reactions weren’t little things – they were life-threatening. I’ve had to go to the ER numerous times for violent reactions to medications. These events would later lead me to learning how REALLY powerful music frequency and vibrations are to healing ourselves. I also started looking into other holistic approaches which I have found helpful to me and to others as well who have tried them. I hope that my experience and learning can help someone else going through similar circumstances. Stay tuned as we really start to get into the potential for music and healing…….
