Description
Whether you are a classroom or physical education teacher, you and your students will enjoy Fitness in a Minute activities. This “no print” Google Slides version is easy to use in a regular classroom setting (great for stretching and brain breaks) and in blended learning and distance learning situations. Assign your student one, a few or all the exercises included in this set. Nineteen activities, one “chooser’s choice” (for students to choose to repeat an activity or complete a “new” one of their own) and one slide for “cooling down” are all included.
Several clipart choices are offered for some activities, to help represent the learners in your school. Each activity contains a 1-minute timer video (via YouTube) with different music (the music was obtained legally, and I have licenses to use these for commercial products). That means there are 20 different timers (the stopwatch counting down is the same in all videos however the music is different). Please note: It is illegal to share these slides and video links with anyone other than your students.
Students read/look at the exercise on the slide, start the timer, then complete the activity. They keep track of how many times they were able to complete the task (or how long they could hold a position) in a minute and type in the answer on the slide. The second slide for each activity asks students to do the activity again and compare whether they were able to perform the task more times (or hold the position for a longer time). You can edit the questions – even allowing for students to set strength/endurance goals! Another possibility is to have students create their own fitness routine with these slides.
