Description

Need a quality resource to help enrich educate your students education regarding the music & culture of China? This digital version (via Google Slides) will be a wonderful reading assignment for your students to introduce them to the background of Chinese music & dance, seventeen unique instruments, foods, famous landmarks and celebrations (i.e. Lunar New Year aka Chinese New Year, Tomb Sweeping Day, Lantern Festival ) in China. It correlates directly with my World Music Interactive Tab Style “Journal” or China Digital Passport – both Google resources. Video links (all via YouTube) are also included. You can use the links and post them via other sites such as Safeshare or ViewPure. Because the video links are editable you can select your own videos to use. In addition if a video link I suggested no longer works you will need to change it yourself. Two additional (blank-type) slides are included so you can add your favorite content as well. *Please note this is a digital download and you need a Google account to access this material.

Students can do online research pertaining to the following….

    1. Teal page includes instrument name (and/or country, flag or map representing country)
    2. Purple page asks for students to insert at least 2 images of the instrument
    3. Blue page asks for students to insert a video of the instrument, select an emoji to describe how the sound makes them feel and/or select words to describe the timbre
    4. Pink page asks for students to add facts and details such as family, world classification, how sound is produced, materials it is made from and/or timbre
